WELCOME

Based on the island of Anglesey, the Anglesey Art Group aims to encourage and celebrate art and artists by organizing a lively and varied programme of events.

The Group’s activities centre on monthly talks by invited speakers. Some speakers give presentations of their work, some explore a particular technique, and some illustrate aspects of art history. Care is taken to present as varied a programme as possible, with he emphasis on art and ideas that will stimulate members in their own work. Meetings are free to members and there is a small charge for guests.

During the year we include a coach trip to a gallery, a day of outdoor painting, a Christmas lunch, and after our AGM in March we have a light-hearted critique of members’ recent work.

Every summer we hold a members’ Summer Exhibition in the David Hughes Centre, Beaumaris. This takes place around the first two weeks of August and is a chance for members to exhibit and sell their work.
